Open Calls

Lustr 2024

Become part of the largest illustration showcase in Prague and present your best free creations. If you have never exhibited with Lustr before, now is you chance. This is open to both professionals and hobbyists.

Trash Club FIlm

Trash Club are looking for a videographer to direct and produce an introduction film for our community platform. Open to residents of London, UK or individuals who are able to travel. Apply via website, click the link in our bio.

ALA for Art Prize

Artists are invited to create an original site-specific project for Ala HQ in Naples, in line with the companies values and that will get them to interact with the work environment and its surrounding community. The theme is ‘What does taking care mean today?

Residencies

Aomori Contemporary Art Centre

Aomori Contemporary Art Centre in Japan, have an open call for those involved in cultural and artistic endeavours. They need to consider how landscapes rapidly change and what we can accomplish together using our differences. The length of stay is optional within 2 week increments, so a applicant can stay for a minimum of 1 two-week increment or 6 two-week increments.

Fernland Studios

This remote residency will give artists time, financial support of $1000 and a network to honour their work, contributing to the community. It also includers speaker sessions with alchemists and activists dedicated to illuminating creative ecological justisce.

Vishni

Located in the region of North Macedonia, in the village of Vishnu near the city of Strega, this residency is looking for artists and cultural practitioners from the Western Balkans who are interested in collaborating with the local community. This has been established by 2 non-profit organisations: INCA and Mini Pogon. They have planned for 3 two-week residencies, hosting 3 artists each.

Emptyroom

In Mozambique, they are looking for visual and multidisciplinary artists to work together in twos and create a joint project. It includes visits to natural spaces, a guided street art tour and encourages exploration outside of your comfort zone. They are looking for applications from artists from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe.

Florìda: Look over the Edge

This artist-run studio and indie residency programme is inviting artists to apply for a month long stay in Genoa, Italy. Their aim is to carry our artistic production and research within an independent cultural space. It is open to all artists and practitioners, no matter what your preferred medium is. English or Italian is required.

Fellowship

Equitable Futures

In Hawai’i and New Zealand, in-person sessions will be held to discuss leadership skills, enhance networks and knowledge. In the systemic imbalance of wealth and power, they want to reimagine concepts of power and serve their communities. You must be a resident in the Inso-Pacific region or have past experience/current work with a focus on the same region.

Contest

Unpublished Photo 2024

This is open to photographers, hosted by a number of Eurpoean institutes. The applicants must submit an unpublished photographic project of 10 images, with a succinct theme and style.  International experts will choose 4 finalists to win. Participation in this international competition is free of charge. It is open to young photographers born between 1994 and 2006.

Arts Council England

The Arts Council, England is offering an opportunity, ‘Developing your Creative Practice’. It is a grant for individuals who want to focus their creative and cultural development. Applications are now open. If you are unlucky this time, don’t worry as they have 2 more rounds of funding planned for later this year, giving you another fighting chance.

Culture Moves Europe

This movement offers grants to artists , cultural professionals and hosts organisations in all European countries that work in architecture, heritage, design, music and more. With a focus on nurturing artists from around the world, it offers an amazing opportunity for 7 to 60 days.
